Nina and Min’s wedding was one of our best wedding experience ever. They are such a sweet couple and so much fun to work with. During the portrait session they were so comfortable with each other and in front of the camera we didn’t have to do much coaching at all. Whatever Min was whispering in her ear it worked because she couldn’t stop smiling and giggling.
I’ve never been to New Jersey or New York so I was really excited for this east coast destination wedding. Their venue The Liberty House in Jersey City New Jersey is located in Liberty State Park on the Hudson river so the backdrop for their wedding was the Manhattan skyline, out of this world awesome. After seeing so many movies about New York it’s hard not to feel a bit nostalgic. Another highlight of the wedding for Shirley (cake fanatic) was their awesome cake from Carlo’s Bakery of the Cake Boss. Thanks Nina and Min for trusting us enough to bring us out to New Jersey for your wedding, it will be an experience we will remember for a long time.
Sometimes I think our clients are nuts. At our initial meeting, Dung and Peter told me they didn’t want the normal engagement photos and feel uncomfortable having their pictures taken. But when we met up with them at the Winspear Opera House in the Dallas Arts district for their engagement photos they were so much fun and easy to work with. Even when it started raining and we had to continue their shoot in the garage we saw no hint of the awkwardness they spoke of. We can’t wait for your wedding next month!

We recently had a chance to photograph Tammy and Joe’s engagement photos in New York. It was my first time there and loved it. Getting to go shoot at all the iconic locations around New York was awesome. Tammy and Joe were so fun to hang out with it just felt like we were on vacation sightseeing and shooting some photos along the way. We started out on the south side of Central Park, then headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park and ended the shoot in Times Square. New York is such a great place to photograph we could have spent an entire day shooting at each of these locations.
Here are some of our favorites from the day. Thanks Tammy and Joe for being so much fun and showing us New York. We can’t wait until the next time we get to shoot there!
